Every year in the grounds of Blenheim Palace (the same one we visited earlier in the year) they hold a three-day horse trial. We went on Saturday, the cross-country day, and I have never seen anything like it! Blazing English sunshine, horses running flat tack and then masterfully jumping over hedges, hundreds and hundreds of dogs, and of course, jugs of fruity Pimms to wash it all down.
Just one horse trial and I’ve fallen in love with the fresh country-style of the horsie set. I’m now convinced I need a Barbour waxed jacket in my life!
